Lift Kit Installation in Sacramento
A lift kit is not a bolt-on afternoon job, whatever the box says. Ride height changes the angle of every steering and driveline component underneath the truck, and the parts that get overlooked — track bar, brake lines, bump stops, driveshaft angle — are the ones that come back as a death wobble or a torn line six months later.
I install suspension lifts, leveling kits and body lifts on Jeeps, Toyotas and full-size trucks, at your home or workplace. The kit goes on, then everything the new ride height affects gets checked: brake line and ABS harness slack at full droop, bump stop contact, track bar and control arm angles, pinion angle, and sway bar link length.
Torque goes on with a wrench and a spec, not by feel. Suspension bushings get their final torque at ride height rather than hanging on the jack — tightened while drooped, a rubber bushing is preloaded wrong from day one and tears out early.
Lifting past roughly 3 inches usually means the driveline and gearing need attention too. Bigger tires drop your effective gear ratio, and a slip-yoke Jeep at that height wants an SYE and a new driveshaft. I will tell you that up front rather than after your money is spent.

Can you install a lift kit in my driveway?
Yes. A flat driveway, a level section of a parking lot, or a garage all work. I bring the jacks, stands and tools. I need enough room to get the wheels off both sides and to work underneath safely.
Do I need an alignment after a lift?
Yes on anything with independent front suspension, and usually on a solid axle too. I set caster and toe as close as the suspension allows and adjust the drag link so the steering wheel sits straight, but a lift changes alignment geometry and a proper alignment rack is the right place to finish it. I will tell you if yours needs one.
Can you supply the kit, or do I buy it?
Either. Most customers buy their own kit — you pick the brand and ride quality you want and pay parts cost with no markup. If you would rather I source it, tell me your budget and how you use the vehicle and I will make a recommendation.
How long does a lift take?
A leveling kit is a few hours. A full suspension lift on a solid-axle Jeep is typically a full day. If the hardware underneath is rusted, add time — seized bolts are the single biggest variable on this job.
